The Gidley, Liquid & Larder’s newest venue, is due to open in October/November 2019. The inspiration from the unique concept has come from dining in traditional NYC steakhouses. 

The venue is a rich and decadent 45-seater restaurant with adjoining wine room and lounge will be dripping with atmosphere set in an unassuming basement off King Street Sydney’s CBD.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing skilled teams as well as possess an engaging personality as it will be the heart of what makes an exceptional guest experience at The Gidley.

You will have a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and possess a genuine understanding of what it means to be hospitable.

The venue will initially open for dinner six nights a week with plans to open for lunch shortly after.

If you are not pompous in your delivery of service but you enjoy the ceremony of fine dining, this venue is for you.

Each Applicant Must Demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Confidence and ‘good chat’

  • Proven experience delivering true hospitality

  • An in-depth knowledge of food and beverage

Essential Requirements of Employment Include:

  • A minimum of five years working in hospitality

  • A minimum of two years of experience running a section in an upmarket restaurant

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
